Welcome to the NEW WORLD of COLORFUL Neon/Blacklight printing! We understand that color accuracy is important to you. NEOS uses 3rd party UV reactive ink. 100% Color-Matching is NOT possible in most cases as some colors are not available and the printer’s software makes substitutions when printing.
To help you achieve the best colors both in Standard/Normal and Blacklight, as well as achieve the best possible fluorescent vibrancy in blacklight, we have provided NEOS Color Profiles.
Please note on your picture/design, black does not fluoresce. Dark colors such and brown, dark green, navy blue, etc. fluoresce, but are not as vibrant as bright colors. Colors with a large amount of Black or Cyan will reduce how brightly the color glows in Blacklight. Typically, small areas of White will look fine, but medium to large sized areas of White may appear light blue (like a White T-shirt would) or light green under Blacklight. If you can color separate out larger White areas into a separate layer, we can generally change a print setting to make the White appear White.
How to use the Color Profile Charts:
1. Download all three Charts above by clicking each one and Selecting Download. Place the COLOR PICKER Chart 3 in your active design program to the side of the design space, on another layer, or on another page.
2. Open both Chart 1 and Chart 2 together to cross-reference the color you like.
3. Determine the location of the color square that you like best (ie: “Shades” Section, Row Two, and the 11th square to the left). Note, you must choose the SAME square location from Chart 1 and 2.
4. Go to your design program (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc.) Select the Eye Dropper Tool.
5. On Chart 3, Hover over the SAME color square location you chose and Click it.
6. Double click the Color Select Icon from your Tools Panel to bring up the Color Picker Window.
7. Highlight and Copy the HEX # Color Code.
8. In your design where you want to change the color, Select the colors area(s) and double click the Color Fill or Color Outline Icon to open the Color Picker Window.
9. In the Color Picker Window Highight the Hex # code.
10. Paste the Hex # you just copied in the Hex # field and Select Enter.
11. Repeat these steps for EACH color in your picture/design or the ones that are more important to you.

* Blacklight wavelengths of the Lightwave: 365 nm and 395 nm (nanometers)
395 nm: Emits a bright violet glare and may not fluoresce many colors. Some colors may appear purple or pink.
365 nm: Emits true, deeper purple ultraviolet light with almost no visible glare, which allows the eye to see most all fluorescent colors. The 365 nm Blacklight costs slightly more than a 395nm. If it does not specially say 365 nm, then it most likely isn’t.
NEOS recommends viewing our prints with a 365 nm Blacklight to ensure that you view it in the best possible light. Similarly, viewing a colorful print in a well-lit vs a low-lit room.
